Tekke carpets, hand knotted carpets manufactured by the Tekke tribe in southern Turkmenistan. The carpets are entirely made of wool with red as the dominating colour and repetitive patterns with göls are common. The rug has good pile and slight even wear.This rug is over hundred years old and in good condition.
